The date on the TSB 3-19-04, by this point in production, most of Nissan's vehicles were equipped with a crank position sensor located in the transmission bellhousing. This sensor reads a series of "windows" in a metal ring that is attached to the flywheel. All Z32s 90-95 are not affected, due to the engine position sensors at the left exhaust cam(CAS). The 96 Z32 with OBD 2 diagnostics uses the sensor at the flywheel. I have heard for years that Transmission shops have to be very careful removing trannys that have this setup because if the ring is bent or dammaged, the crank sensor reading will be affected. A lot of chrysler products use this setup also.
